INTRO

Codon Biosciences, a funded R&D company, had developed a first-of-its-kind wine made of Ratnagiri Alphonso Mangoes.

They approached Gubblebums to create a brand identity for their brand, Rista, and also to design a bottle label for their product.

RESEARCH

Extensive secondary research concluded in finding out that people in India are not familiar or aware of the varieties of wine or drinking etiquette.

If the client’s product were to succeed, it would do much better in modern markets, hence the brand name needed to have a global appeal with an Indian connect.

WHAT WE DID

With the Portuguese connection to the Alphonso mango, we coined the brand name “Pomar de Frutas”, meaning Garden of Fruits in Portuguese. The bottle label was designed to be economically sustainable. A crisp event stall design and other marketing collateral was ensured as well.
