Challenge

Preserving heritage while defining a modern identity. Kokni Kanteen 1972 is proof that great design doesn’t change tradition. It strengthens it, creating experiences that feel familiar, heartfelt, and enduring.

The challenge was to differentiate Kokni Kanteen in a crowded market without changing what made it special and to create an experience that honoured its traditional Goan roots while presenting it with clarity, consistency, and character. 

Approach

Building a timeless brand through design, detail, and experience. We rebuilt Kokni Kanteen from the ground up, shaping an experience that seamlessly merged nostalgia with structure.

Every design choice, from the sacred ‘Shree’ in the logo to the refined typography, paid homage to Saraswat authenticity while creating a modern, unified look across menus, packaging, uniforms, and digital platforms. Vintage photo frames sparked conversation, blackboard walls encouraged interaction, and witty waiting tokens added a touch of personality. Even the newspaper-style prints in the washrooms transported guests back to 1972, creating a brand experience that was immersive, emotional, and distinctly Goan. With locally resonant campaigns and organic, we built Kokni Kanteen’s online credibility without influencers or heavy spending.

The aim was to create a brand that felt timeless yet relevant. We focused on building organic credibility, refining the brand’s presence, and making Kokni Kanteen synonymous with warmth, community, and the true spirit of Goan dining.

Through thoughtful design and storytelling, Kokni Kanteen redefined what it means to be authentically Goan in today’s world, proving that with structure, creativity, and purpose, heritage can thrive beautifully in the modern era.
